Every great platform starts with a problem worth solving. For us, it was a simple question asked by a parent: "Is there anything I can put on that I don't have to worry about?"
Every great platform starts with a problem worth solving. For us, it was a simple question asked by a parent: "Is there anything I can put on that I don't have to worry about?"
That question has been asked in living rooms, minivans, and bedrooms across the world. And for too long, the honest answer has been: not really.
The streaming landscape is enormous. There are thousands of hours of content available at any moment. But "family-friendly" has become a marketing label rather than a meaningful standard. Parents scroll through endless tiles, reading descriptions, checking ratings, hoping the next title won't surprise them with something they weren't ready to explain.
That's not a streaming experience. That's a second job.
MAOZ was built on a different premise: that families deserve a platform where the curation itself is the product. Not an algorithm. Not a recommendation engine trained on engagement metrics. A team of real people, guided by real values, making real decisions about what belongs.
We believe that when a family sits down to watch together, the experience should be one of connection — not vigilance. That's what we're building.
The name comes from the Hebrew word מָעוֹז — meaning stronghold, refuge, fortress. It's a word that appears throughout Scripture to describe a place of safety and strength. That's exactly what we want MAOZ to be for families: a place where you can rest, knowing the content has already been held to a higher standard.
We're still early. The platform is in development. But the mission is clear, and we're grateful you're here for the beginning of it.
